چکیده

The influence of salicylic acid (SA) on growth, yield, fruits’ quality and enzymes’ activities was monitored in strawberry plants cv. Camarosa grown under salinity stress via two pot experiments successive years 2018 2019. examined concentrations SA were 30, 60, 90 ppm, which foliary applied addition to control (sprayed with water), while the used levels 20, 40 mM as NaCl irrigation application (without salinity). results showed a significant effect at where mean values shoot fresh dry weights, chlorophyll, leaves’ NPK, yield plant?1, ha?1, ascorbic significantly decreased. However, resulted increase content Na proline well catalase (CAT) peroxidase (POD) activity TSS acidity. ppm found be most positive treatment for all studied characters except content. Regarding tolerance index percentages (STI%), high CAT, POD, referred ability use them indicators response other physiological plant breeding studies. findings this study suggest that foliar can ameliorate negative growth Camarosa.

Effect of Salicylic Acid on the Growth, Photosynthesis and Carbohydrate Metabolism in Salt Stressed Maize Plants

The effect of 10 M salicylic acid (SA) on the counteracting of the NaCl (50, 100 and 150 mM)-induced deleterious effects on maize (Zea mays L.) cultivar was studied. Effects of SA on salt tolerance of maize were determined by measuring the growth parameters: shoot and root lengths, shoot and root fresh and dry weights and leaf area. The activity of ribulose 1,5bisphosphate carboxylase (Rubisco)...
